Centre for Strategic Research and Analysis - CESRAN

The CESRAN was founded by a group of PhD students who are interested in world politics, and enthusiastic about contributing to the field of international relations as not only academics, but also practitioners. For the time being, the CESRAN is an internet-based think tank.

The underlying motive behind the foundation of the CESRAN is a need to bridge the gap between the students of international relations and practitioners of international politics.

In this regard, the main ideal is gathering people, who come from different backgrounds and have different perspectives, around the CESRAN in order to yield fresh and illuminating insights as to how the international relations is carried out in a globalizing world. To this end, the CESRAN aims at establishing and maintaining close contact with and between politicians, bureaucrats, business people, and academics that would lead to the development of better policies.

The CESRAN considers international relations a multidisciplinary field. It is believed that better insights into world politics can come out of collaborative research of experts who are specialized in diverse areas such as international relations theories, security studies, geopolitics, international political economy, international organisations, and public policy.

Even though the research interests of our staff vary widely, the international politics remains the focal point of the CESRAN.

Our mission is to become a leading think-tank on strategic and diplomatic studies, a source of influential ideas in international relations, and a home of discussions on various topics ranging from Turkish foreign policy to the theories of international relations. The uniqueness of CESRAN lay at the very root of its national bonds as well as its international outlook.

The CESRAN has no allegiance to any government, or to any political or other organisation.
